Skip Tracing

Skip tracing is the process of tracking down persons who are particularly hard to find, whether they are persons-of-interest, fact witnesses, debtors, or other individuals. 

These are persons who may have changed residence, are in hiding, or deliberately evading being served and action or some sort of court process.  However, many times, they can be found by a professional skip tracer. Using skip tracing databases that are not available to the general public, we are able to find the individual, and then serve them properly in accordance to the laws in Ontario.

10-8 Investigative Services is fully licenced with various databases used for the purposes of locating indviduals or business entities.

Additionally, 10-8 Investigative Services conducts skip tracing for many law firms and legal services firms in Ontario and elsewhere, assisting lawyers and paralegals locating debtors, defendants, witnesses or persons-of-interest for process serving or litigation.  Landlords often use our services in locating tenants who have skipped out from their leases or wish to locate individuals named in Landlord and Tenant Tribunal Orders.

Our pricing is competitive, but it is confidential.  Please send us a request for pricing and we will be more than happy to respond.  We will invoice you at the conclusion of the investigation.

If you are interested in this type of service, there are several regulatory and mandatory items we will require before commencing any skip tracing services including:

• Signing a retainer agreement.
• Providing us your identification.
• Providing us a copy of the court action, judgment, court/tribunal order, or any other court-related item.
• Or, providing us a letter on letterhead requesting skip tracing services, the reason for the search and that it is for the sole purpose of pre-litigation.
